317th AG provides humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

A pallet of humanitarian supplies sits inside of a 317th Airlift Group (AG) C-130J June 4, 2013, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. The Denton Amendment allows the U.S. military aircraft to transport, on a space-available basis, humanitarian supplies from non-government organizations to people around the world who are in need of assistance. The 317th AG transported the supplies to Pope Army Airfield, N.C., where it will be taken to Joint Base Charleston Air Base, S.C., and then to Afghanistan. The supplies were donated by Global Samaritan Resources. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Jonathan Stefanko/ Released)
