9th BS undergoes surge

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Todd Van Zandt, 7th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, services a B-1 Bomber June 11, 2013, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. From June 10-13, the 9th Bomb Squadron (BS) performed a sortie surge, attempting to fly 74 sorties in four days completing 58. The surge was performed to ensure all aircrews and maintainers of the 9th BS are operational wartime qualified for their upcoming deployment.
