9th BS undergoes surge
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Angel Ramirez, 7th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, performs a pre-flight check of a B-1 Bomber June 11, 2013, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. From June 10-13, the 9th Bomb Squadron (BS) performed a sortie surge, attempting to fly 74 sorties in four days completing 58. The surge was performed to ensure all aircrews and maintainers of the 9th BS are operational wartime qualified for their upcoming deployment.
