Air Force and Army flying high

Servicemembers from the 317th Airlift Group and the 82nd Airborne Division participated in Joint Operational Access Exercise 13-03 at Pope Field, N.C. JOAX is a combined military training exercise designed to prepare Airmen and Soldiers to respond to worldwide crises and contingencies. The 317th AG supported JOAX with 20 C-130Js and 87 aircrew members. The aircraft and its crew delivered more than 2,400 U.S. Army paratroopers and more than 140 tons of equipment to multiple drop zones.
