DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Sen. Ted Cruz visited Dyess Air Force Base Aug. 11. The purpose of the visit was to introduce Cruz to the base and its mission sets and get a personal look at a day in the life of the Airmen who support Team Dyess. He was briefed by senior leaders on the capabilities of the 7th Bomb Wing and 317th Airlift Group, toured the base and received an up-close look at the C-130J and B-1B Lancer.
