The 7th Bomb Wing Judge Advocate was recently named the best legal office in Air Combat Command for 2013 for the second year in a row.

"It's a huge distinction for our office to win this award two years in row," said Maj. Glen Miller, 7th Bomb Wing staff judge advocate. "The award is recognition for the hard work our JAGs, paralegals and civilians provide to the highest caliber legal advice to Team Dyess."

The Judge Advocate's military justice department supports good order and discipline on base. They were noted for having the number one discharge, articles 15 and administrative demotion programs in the Air Force.

The general law department makes sure Airmen, dependents and retirees' legal affairs are in order through legal assistance. In total, they completed 469 wills, 295 medical directives and 2,750 powers of attorney, saving clients $467K in fees.

"I am extremely honored to work with such a stellar team of Airmen," said Tech. Sgt. Carrie Waddle, 7th Bomb Wing staff judge advocate. "They are all extremely dedicated to the job and mission. I couldn't be more proud."

Not only did JA stand out in their multiple programs, but they also had two inspections that led them to an outstanding rating and a top two high score out of 16 bases.

"The competition in 12th AF itself, let alone ACC, is very tight. Winning is a motivation for our office to persevere and not get complacent within our jobs," Miller said.

"The privilege of leading this dedicated group of officer, enlisted and civilian personnel has been the highlight of my 17 years in the Air Force," said Lt. Col. Patrick Dolan, 7th Bomb Wing staff judge advocate. "I am so proud of what everyone has accomplished."
