Dyess Air Force Base is hosting an open house on Feb. 3, 2015, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Tye Community Center to present Dyess' Air Installation Compatible Use Zone Study.

The AICUZ study identifies aircraft noise and accident potential zones associated with Dyess' flying operations.

By analyzing the effects of aircraft noise and assessing accident potential, the goal of the AICUZ program is to promote compatible land use, development, and education regarding high-noise and accident potential zones around military installations, to promote public health and safety in areas adjacent to installations and to sustain the operational capabilities on the installation.

Dyess' 2015 AICUZ study addresses changes that have occurred since the study was last updated in 2008.

The event is open to the public, and Air Force representatives will be available to provide further information and answer questions about the study.

The Tye Community Center is located at 103 Scott Street in Tye, Texas, 79563.
