DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- A Munition Handling Unit - Tri-Spear X was tested at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, May 21, 2024. A team from Air Force Global Strike Command tested and demonstrated the capabilities of the trailer prototype to evolve from the current fleet of munitions trucks, allowing increased capacity for heavier munitions. The MHU-TSX is the first trailer prototype providing the required lift capability to safely load munitions onto a targeting pod, reducing the logistical footprint required to get munitions from storage to point-of-use and loaded on the aircraft.
