Dyess AFB to host exercise 25 April-24 May

Dyess AFB is scheduled to host a Department of Defense led exercise to review and verify policy for the safety and security of U.S. military resources from April 25 to May 24 of 2023.

Community members at Dyess AFB and surrounding Abilene area can expect loud noises, tactical vehicle equipment, adjustments to routine operations, and gate availability.

“The exercise will allow our personnel to share and test security procedures to empower the future effectiveness and lethality of our Joint Force. I’m proud of our Airmen in their deliberate role in the planning and execution of this exercise,” said Col. Joseph Kramer, 7th Bomb Wing commander.

The coordination of activities for this exercise spanned across 15 Bomb Wing agencies, Air Force Global Strike Command, and Department of the Air Force. Exercise activities are conducted in an controlled environment under realistic circumstances to ensure forces maintain the highest levels of proficiency and readiness.
