The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Inc. and the Air Force Inspection Agency will be conducting accreditation inspections of the 7th Medical Group April 23-27 to evaluate national and military health care standards compliance.

The AAAHC, a civilian accreditation company, evaluates health care organizations by measuring the quality of an organization's facilities, services, performance and patient safety promotion against nationally recognized standards, the company's Web site, www.aaahc.org, states.

The AFIA will focus on military healthcare requirements, and will closely evaluate the group's attention to Flight Medicine, Public Health, Bioenvironmental Engineering, Life Skills and Dental Readiness.

The Dyess Clinic will remain open during regular business hours throughout the week.
Inspectors and surveyors will conduct formal protocols with support staff and medical group leadership during inspection week. Direct patient care teams, however, will have minimal interactions with inspectors. As a result, inspections should not cause any noticeable delays or disturbances in patient care.
