DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Airman 1st Class Michael Higgins, 7th Munitions Squadron, works on putting an attachment under a B-1 plane, which buffers the bombs being loaded and helps it from swaying during an Operation Readiness Exercise here Nov. 7. The exercise times how well Airmen work together as a team and how fast they can get a plane ready for deployment. This exercise will also help prepare Airmen for real world missions and the upcoming Operation Readiness Inspection when the base will be looked at on its effectiveness in performing a wartime, contingency, force sustainment and operational mission.
