Dyess names its superior performers for ORI

DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --  The 7th Bomb Wing Commander Col. Robert Gass announced Jan. 8 that the base received an overall "satisfactory" grade for their Phase 1 Operational Readiness Inspection re-evaluation. The inspection was held Jan. 5-6 and was the first readiness inspection since 2006. 

"Overall the ORI went very well," said Colonel Gass. "It was a superb, wing-wide success. It was validation of our combat capability from Air Combat Command." 

The 7th Bomb Wing received an excellent grade in computer security and satisfactory grades in initial response, deployment and processing, employment readiness and information operations. 

"There were several factors that played into our success," said Chief Master Sgt. David Goldie, 7th BW Command Chief. "Everybody was up to this challenge. We had very engaged, visible leadership at every level. That played a key and significant role." 

Assistance from other combat organizations within 12th Air Force was beneficial, said Chief Goldie. Also, keen attention detail factored into the wing's success, he said.
"We performed magnificently," said Colonel Gass. "This was a total team effort."
