Unit: 40 Air Lift Squadron Job title: Instructor Flight Engineer Job description and its impact on the overall mission: Train and instruct flight engineers on aircraft systems, takeoff and landing data, and aviation principles. Time in the military: 9 ½ years Time at Dyess: 3 ½ years Family: Wife, Diana and 1 year old son Drew Hometown: Rincon, Ga. Why did you join the military? Travel the world and gain experiences to assist me in future endeavors. Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years? Retired from military working on aircraft part time and owning my own watering hole. What do you do for fun here? Wood working, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? Spending a week in Africa hauling humanitarian supplies and people through four different countries landing on austere dirt runways and interacting with the local population. What accomplishment are you most proud of? Airlifting fallen Soldiers and Marines out of Iraq and Afghanistan to return them home to their grieving families. Who are your role models?
