This week's warrior is Airman 1st Class Brittney Yount.

Unit: 7 Operations Support Squadron
 
Job title: airfield management coordinator 

Job description and its impact on the overall mission: I am in charge of actively overseeing all movement areas and events on the Airfield. I am responsible for keeping the flightline safe and FOD free so our planes can take off on time and without damage. 

Time in the military: two years 

Time at Dyess: one and a half years
 
Husband, Trevor Yount, stepson Cameron Powell and an 81-pound puppy named Bailey!
 
Hometown: Punxsutawney, Penn.
 
Why did you join the military? To better my family's livelihood and to keep the tradition going in my family of serving ones' country. My Pap pap was in World War II and my uncles were in Vietnam.
 
Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years: Still married, living closer to home with a few more children and coaching a softball team. 

What do you do for fun here? I go bowling, walking my giant dog and Cameron. I also like to feed the ducks at Nelson Park. 

What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? Meeting General Mosley here with my supervisor by my side. 

What accomplishment are you most proud of? Our Airfield Management shop receiving Airfield Management Facility of the Year.

Who are your role models? My mother, she has taught me everything and she is my best friend. I'm so blessed to have her in my life. My co workers and fellow Airmen! I am always learning from them. My husband and my dad because they are such kind people and are always doing the right thing.
