Airman pleads guilty for violating Article 112a Published April 20, 2009 DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- During a special court martial here, an Airman pled guilty April 16 to wrongfully using a controlled substance. An airman 1st class, assigned to the 7th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, pled guilty to two counts of violating Article 112a of the Uniform Code of Military Justice - wrongfully using a controlled substance, otherwise known as cocaine and marijuana. The Airman was identified during a unit drug inspection (urinalysis). A panel of officers sentenced the Airman to a reduction in rank to airman basic, forfeiture of $700 for six months, two months restriction to Dyess Air Force Base, three months hard labor without confinement, and a bad conduct discharge from the Air Force.
