Special court martial finds Dyess NCO guilty Published June 1, 2009 7th Bomb Wing Legal Office DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- During a special court martial, an NCO was found guilty, May 28 of assault of a child under the age of 16. The NCO assaulted a 3-year-old child by backhanding him to the face, resulting in a large bruise. The staff sergeant, assigned to the 7th Maintenance Operations Squadron, was found guilty of violating Article 128--assault consummated by battery upon a child under 16 years of age. A panel of officers and enlisted members sentenced the sergeant to forfeiture of $500 per month for six months and hard labor without confinement for three months.
