Warrior of the Week

This week's warrior is Senior Airman Laura A. Talcott from the 7th Medical Operations Squadron. 

Job title: Medical Technician 

Job description and its impact on the overall mission: To provide top-notch medical care to fellow Airmen and their families so they can remain fit to fly, fight, and win the war on terrorism. 

Time in the military: 3 years, 6 months

Time at Dyess: 2 years, 10 months

Family: Daughter named Savannah who just turned 2. 

Hometown: Bowers Beach, DE 

Why did you join the military? I've always had the drive to serve my country, and set an example for my family and friends. 

Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years? I see myself serving in the Air Force just about to retire hopefully, as a nurse. 

What do you do for fun here? Enjoying every day with my daughter, going to the movies and hang out with my friends.

What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? The best memories will always be the amazing people I've met and friendships that have been created. 

What accomplishment are you most proud of? Receiving the ACC/Surgeon General Real Pro Award. 

Who are your role models? Bonnie Somerville for her help with charities like Child Abuse Prevention Program and National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
