The award recognizes the top rookie with less than two years as the Morale, and Welfare Recreation manager in each armed service. "It is a privilege and an honor to receive such an award as this," Mr. Quinn said. Mr. Quinn will travel to Las Vegas March 10, to accept the award at the 15th Annual IMCEA's Award Banquet. New boats, lawn equipment, paintball field expansion, recreational vehicle storage lot expansion and new grills are just a few things he has bought into Dyess since he's been the MWR manager. "Mr. Quinn is extremely dedicated," said Alice Fournier, community service flight chief. "He has made successes at Outdoor Recreation that were beyond local level expectations and exceeded Air Force goals." Mr. Quinn is currently working on bringing a new FamCamp to Dyess. The FamCamp will be open for active-duty or retired military, DoD civilians and sponsored guests. "I spend more time at the workplace than at my own home," Mr. Quinn said. "Even at home, I still find myself doing work." "He is known as the 'go to' guy for getting things done and will do what it takes to improve Outdoor Recreation and the entire squadron," Ms. Fournier said. "He is fully deserving of this award and we can expect continued successes in the years to come from him." Outdoor Recreation receives money through the Airmen on base. Whenever Airmen go to the bowling alley, golf course, Heritage Club and Bomb Shelter and spend money, the profit that is made is reinvested into the community to promote Airmen quality of life.
