McMurry to host Military Appreciation Day Published Sept. 12, 2011 McMurry University ABILENE, Texas -- Active duty, dependents and retired military are invited to enjoy free food and football at McMurry University's game against East Texas Baptist on Sept. 24, 2011, at Wilford Moore Stadium. All military members and their dependents will be admitted free with military ID as part of McMurry's Military Appreciation Day. In addition, a B-1 Bomber flyover is scheduled for the beginning of the game. · Game time and location - Kickoff is at 2:00 p.m. in Wilford Moore Stadium on the McMurry University campus. · Pre-game tailgate party - Begins at 12:00 in the Bobby Carter Throws Area - a fenced, grassy area just west of the Stadium on Ross Blvd. · Cost of admission - There is no cost for the game or tailgate party for military members and family members with DOD identification cards. · Parking and seating arrangements - Parking lots are located along the west and southern perimeters of the campus. Home side seating is available on the west side of Wilford Moore Stadium.
