Arnold and Tye Gate closures Published Sept. 14, 2012 DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The Tye and Arnold Gates will be closed at separate times this week for barrier maintenance. The Tye Gate will be closed for both in and outbound traffic Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m. to Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. All commercial vehicles will need to use the Arnold Gate. The Arnold Gate traffic will experience minor delays Sept. 21 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The gate will be closed for both in and outbound traffic Sept. 22 at 6 a.m. to Sept. 24 at 1 a.m. During the closure all traffic will be diverted to the Tye Gate. Entry to the Tye Gate can be accessed off of Military Drive on the north side of Dyess. Inbound lanes will be open in time for morning traffic Sept. 24. If there are any unforeseen delays there will be a diversion off of Arnold Blvd. onto Louisiana Rd. Sept. 24.
