Dyess commissary closed following fire

The Dyess Air Force Base commissary is temporarily closed due to a fire that ignited at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013.

Dyess firefighters and security forces personnel were at the scene of the fire less than five minutes after receiving notification of the emergency. All occupants of the building were evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.

The commissary will be closed until further notice as repairs to the building are made.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
