The Dyess Fire Department is hosting a static display of a restored 9/11 Fire Department of the City of New York rescue vehicle May 8 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the base exchange here. Restored by a non-profit organization known as the Rescue Remembrance Project, the vehicle travels across the nation to serve as a mobile memorial to educate, honor and remember the events of 9/11 and all the firefighters killed in the line of duty throughout the country every year.
