DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Base members and the public are invited to the Dyess Big Country Air & Space Expo scheduled May 12 and 13 on the flightline at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas.
The expo will give attendees the opportunity to learn more about the air and space superiority of the Air Force and sister services, while strengthening the relationship between Team Dyess and the community.
The general public must use Tye Gate located off of Military Drive, which opens at 9 a.m.
Department of Defense ID cardholders should use Arnold Gate at the main entrance.
During the show, there will be ample parking, to include handicap parking, available for the general public. There is also overflow parking available, if the need arises.
People on base are encouraged to park at the Base Exchange and Commissary and take a bus to the airshow area. There are designated parking for spouses of deployed service members. These individuals can contact their Key Spouse for more information.
Other options for members of Dyess Air Force Base are directed and mapped. DOD ID cardholders will either park in the 2nd St. parking area at the intersection of 2nd St. and Ave. B, in the U.S. Marine Corps parking lot on the east side of 2nd St., or in the parking lot on the east side of 1st St. across from the 317th combined building. Signs will be posted.
The acts performing in the two-day event are scheduled to end at approximately 4 p.m.
