ABILENE, Texas -- More than 550 Airmen, spouses, honorary commanders, Abilene Chamber of Commerce and Military Affairs Committee members attended the 2016 Air Force Ball at the Abilene Civic Center in Abilene, Texas, Sept. 23, 2016. This year's theme was, "A legacy of community and commitment," to highlight the formidable relationship between Dyess and the Abilene community. The guest speaker was Maj. Gen. Garrett Harencak, Air Force Recruiting Service commander, who is also a former 7th Bomb Wing commander.
