The 7th Force Support Squadron outdoor recreation provides Airmen and families with resources to go on an adventure, whether locally or out-of-state.

Tents, trailers, coolers, sports equipment, grills, bounce houses, lawn equipment, dollies and more are available for rent through the ODR. Depending on the item a customer wants to rent, the customer must have a valid Department of Defense identification card and any license required for that specific item.

For approximately $7, customers can come and have an official vehicle inspection done on their car, truck or trailer by the ODR mechanic.

“I enjoy what I do,” said Josh Millwee, 7th FSS ODR mechanic. “There’s never a dull moment, there’s always something to do; whether it’s a repair or an inspection.”

ODR has more to offer than equipment rentals and inspections.

Keith Quinn, 7th FSS ODR recreation program manager, said there are more fun events coming soon, along with a new rock climbing boulder near the fitness center. The ODR programs are expected to expand in the near future.

Recently, there have already been completely filled iFLY trips, an indoor simulated skydiving experience, and the ODR is planning to have more iFLY trips within the next year.

The ODR is open to suggestions for future trips or classes customers may want to participate in.

Customers are also welcome to look at the information book located at the ODR that is full of suggestions of where to go for hiking enthusiasts, fishermen, hunters, etc.

“Call us up for any of your outdoor needs,” Quinn said. “Our goal is to make sure Airmen and families have an adventure.”
