June 2017 Article 15 and Discharge actions

For the month of June 2017, three Airmen were discharged while several other Airmen received Article 15 nonjudicial punishments for their actions.

A Senior Airman was administratively demoted for Failure to Keep Fit. His disciplinary history included a Control Roster, a Unfavorable Information File, and three Letters of Reprimand. He was demoted to Airman First Class

An Airman was administratively discharged for Misconduct – Drug Abuse. His disciplinary history consisted of a Special Court-Martial conviction. He was discharged with a General service characterization.

An Airman was administratively discharged for Misconduct – Drug Abuse. His disciplinary history consisted of an Article 15. He was discharged with a General service characterization.

An Airman 1st Class was administratively discharged for Defective Enlistment – Fraudulent Entry. Her disciplinary history included one LOR and a UIF. She was discharged with a General service characterization.

An Airman failed to show for a mandatory 0600 briefing and when questioned as to his whereabouts, alleged that he missed the briefing because he had an appointment to get the oil in his vehicle changed at 0600. He received an Article 15 for violations of Article 86, United Code of Military Justice, Failure to Go and Article 107, UCMJ, False Official Statement. He was punished with 30 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A Senior Airman wrongfully used marijuana. He received an Article 15 for violation of Art 112a, UCMJ, Wrongful Use of Marijuana and was punished with a reduction to the grade of Airman 1st Class and a reprimand. He was subsequently discharged.

A Senior Airman was late to work on numerous occasions. He received an Article 15 for violation of Art 86, UCMJ, Failure to Go and was punished with a reduction to the grade of Airman 1st Class, suspended forfeiture of $1,002.00 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand.

An Airman 1st Class was charged with and found guilty of wrongful use of methamphetamine and marijuana. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, forfeiture of $1,000 pay per month for 2 months, and reduction to E-1.
