Col Jonathan Izworski is the former Commander of the 82d Training Group, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. He led 798 military and civilian personnel across six squadrons and three geographically separated units, producing over 16,800 graduates from 101 aircraft maintenance, logistics readiness and intercontinental ballistic missile courses annually. Additionally, he oversaw the management of 32 training facilities, 8 dormitories, and 55 ground instructional training aircraft and a Minuteman III Launch Facility Trainer with an inert training LGM-30.
Colonel Izworski enlisted in 1992 as a Guidance and Control Systems Journeyman and culminated his enlisted career working C-5A/B, C-141B, and C-17 aircraft at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. He attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University through the Airman Scholarship Commissioning Program and commissioned as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer in 2002. He has held positions in Quality Assurance, AMU OIC, Operations Officer, Technical School Instructor, and multiple time Squadron Commander. He deployed supporting Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, and JOINT TASK FORCE HORN OF AFRICA. Prior to this position, the colonel was a student in Air War College at Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
