Colonel Gregory M. Savella

Col. Gregory M. Savella II is the Deputy Director of Military and Family Care, Air Force Personnel Center, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas. The Military and Family Care Directorate supports over 714,000 Airmen, Guardians, and their families with a staff that includes seven divisions with more than 300 military, civilian, and contractor personnel working a diverse portfolio of programs, to include Air Reserve Component Case Management, Casualty Matters, Disability, Military and Family Readiness, Exceptional Assignment Programs such as Exceptional Family Member Programs, Warrior Care, and Integrated Resilience.


Col. Savella grew up in Vacaville, California and graduated from Hawaii Pacific University in 2000 with a degree in psychology. He was commissioned in 2000 from the University of Hawaii’s ROTC program. He has served at operational squadrons, wing, Headquarters MAJCOM, Headquarters U.S. Air Force positions, and deployed four times in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL and ALLIES REFUGE.
