317th Airlift Group 317th Airlift Group

The 317th Airlift Group is comprised of the 39th and 40th Airlift Squadrons, 317th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 317th Maintenance Squadron, 317th Operations Support Squadron and the 317th Maintenance Operations Squadron. The group comes under the operational control of 18th Air Force and Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

tab317th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron 
The 317th AMXS support the nation's warfighting capability by performing flight line maintenance on 33 assigned C-130 aircraft, valued at $1 billion, accomplishing global reach missions. Personnel, spanning nine Air Force specialties, provide all aspects of flight line maintenance including dedicated crew chiefs who bear responsibility for the health of their aircraft.
tab317th Operations Support Squadron 
317th Operations Support Squadron is responsible for C-130H combat effectiveness. Directs flight operations, war plans, aircrew/aircraft scheduling, combat tactics, intelligence integration, aircrew training, cargo delivery, deployment planning and execution, simulator training, mobility processing, maintenance analysis and life support functions. Coordinates with host wing for airfield management weather support and air traffic control.
tab317th Maintenance Operations Squadron  
The mission of the 317th Maintenance Operations Squadron is to support the 317th Airlift Group by: providing program oversight; aircraft maintenance planning; establishing standards; conducting evaluations; and providing training for the 317 AG maintenance personnel. They also provide management oversight and direct logistics support for all 317 AG assigned aircraft, equipment and engines.

The 317th Maintenance Squadron supports the nation's conventional war fighting capability by performing on- and off-equipment maintenance on 33 C-130H aircraft and components supporting the 317th Airlift Group's Global Reach airlift mission.
tab39th Airlift Squadron  
The 39th Airlift Squadron maintains quality aircrew and aircraft to mobilize, deploy and provide intratheater airlift worldwide for DoD customers. The men and women of the 39th support theater commanders' requirements with combat-delivery capability through tactical airland and airdrop operations as well as humanitarian efforts and aeromedical evacuation. With 402 authorized members, the squadron provides 28 combat-ready aircrew and maintenance for 14 assigned aircraft.
