Starting March 11, 2020, the 7th Medical Group’s pharmacy will implement a new ScriptCenter with free services in the Dyess Exchange next to Military Clothing Sales at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas.

“Our main goal with working with ScriptCenter is to cut down patient wait time and add convenience for refilled medications,” said Maj. Miranda Debelevich, 7th Medical Support Squadron pharmacy flight commander. “The entire process from enrolling a profile to picking up their prescriptions should only be a few minutes long. There is an option to have a family link to allow family members to pick up each other’s medications.”

Active duty military, dependents, retirees and all authorized Department of Defense ID holders are eligible to use the ScriptCenter. They will be able to log in with their ID or by fingerprint. Once called in, the prescriptions refills will be available for pickup after three duty days and will stay within the system for 14 days. If not picked up, the prescriptions will return back to the pharmacy. Any prescriptions requiring refrigeration or controlled substances will need to be picked up via the pharmacy counter.

“When patients call the refill line, they will have the option to either pick up at the ScriptCenter or at the pharmacy,” said Staff Sgt. Dustin Stevens, 7th Medical Support Squadron pharmacy technician. “This is designed for Airmen, families and retirees to have the most convenient option. For Airmen on different shifts, it gives them an option to pick up outside of our pharmacy hours or the weekend. This will help reduce their amount of time away from work at the medical group.”

The hours for the ScriptCenter will follow the hours of the Dyess Exchange: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. These hours will allow patients to pick up their medications outside of the normal pharmacy hours and on their time.

An assisted enrollment period will be available starting Feb. 26, 2020 for two weeks. The form can be found here.
