Colonel Teresa K. Roberts is currently the Commander, 7th Medical Group, 7th Bomb Wing, Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Her duties include leading over 300 personnel dedicated to providing community health services to Team Dyess, expert Airman-medics to combatant commanders, and world-class medical and dental care to a population of nearly 20, 000. In addition, she serves as senior medical adviser to the 7th Bomb Wing Commander on all policies and issues impacting the health and wellness of Dyess personnel and their families.
Col Roberts was commissioned through Reserve Officer Training Corps at Louisiana State University in 1995 and was first assigned to the 81st Medical Wing, Keesler AFB, Mississippi as Program Manager, Consult Liaison Services, then to Brooks AFB, Texas as the Chief of Counseling Services over all Mental Health programs for the base. Col Roberts then went to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany as the Assistant Chief of Social Work Services and then back to Keesler AFB, as Commander of the Family Support Center where she ran Keesler’s HUMRO office over volunteer relief, aid and support to the community following Hurricane Katrina.
Col Roberts attended Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell AFB, Alabama before proceeding to Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Legislative Liaison Directorate, the Pentagon DC as the Chief of the Research Branch. Afterward she was chosen as the Director of Clinical Social Work Residency, Andrews AFB, Maryland, and during that time she deployed to Bagram where she supported detainee operations. Prior to her current assignment, Col Roberts was again at Keesler AFB as the Mental Health Flight Commander, then as the Commander of the 81st Aerospace Medicine Squadron, ensuring aircrew, operational and environmental health protection. Prior to her current assignment, Col Roberts the Chief of the Operations Division for the Air Force’s Profession of Arms Center of Excellence (PACE) Randolph AFB TX, tasked to infuse Air Force Core Values within the Profession of Arms.
