Dyess boil alert lifted Published June 19, 2012 By 190612 DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- On June 17 a boil alert was issued to Dyess AFB/Public Water System customers for the need to boil water prior to consumption due to reduced pressure in drinking water lines on base. This alert has been rescinded due to results obtained by the Abilene Public Health lab, verifying that the water is free of harmful bacteria and other microbes. The water is safe for consumption.
