One last U.S. Air Force Airman boards a C-130 J-model before take-off Sept. 3, 2013, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. The cost to run the simulator is an estimated $850 an hour, a savings of $1,500 compared to an approximated flying cost of $2,300 an hour, which will allow the 317th Airlift Group to save an approximate $3 million annually.
