2013 Dyess CFC kicks off

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Antoinette Hazlewood, 317th Airlift Group, speaks with Rob Chastain, Meals on Wheels case manager, about the program during the Combined Federal Campaign kickoff Oct. 4, 2013, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. The CFC was established by President John F. Kennedy in 1961. It's an annual fundraising drive conducted by federal employees in their workplace each fall. The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost efficient, and effective in providing federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. Federal employees have until Oct. 15 to select a charity to donate to. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Kedesha Pennant/Released)
