DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- A Dyess C-130 Hercules flies a sortie above the Big Country Oct. 2007. This Nov. 19, the Air Mobility Command marked one million sorties flown since Sept. 11, 2001. The 317th Airlift Group, AMC's busiest C-130 unit and a tenant unit at Dyess AFB, has flown 36,217 sorties in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom since 9/11.
