Dyess prepares for two more C-130Js
Dyess' next two C-130Js near completion at Lockheed Martin's Marietta, Ga. facility. The aircraft will arrive here on 5 October and 15 October 2010 respectively, after extensive flight testing. Dyess will receive 28 new Super Hercules to be flown by the 317th Airlift Group, making it the world’s largest single C-130J operator. This month, 40th Airlift Squadron C-130J-model pilots and loadmasters will deploy to Afghanistan with the 41st Airlift Squadron out of Little Rock, to gain J-model experience in combat. This will season the already growing number of Dyess C-130J crewmembers.
