DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Chief Master Sgt. Richard Loy Etchberg’s plaque sits covered on the Dyess Air Force Base Medal of Honor Memorial March 11 during a Medal of Honor ceremony here. Chief Etchberg was a Senior NCO in the U.S. Air Force who posthumously received the military’s highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his actions during the Battle of Lima Site 85 in the Vietnam War. Medal of Honor ceremony honors fallen Airman
