EOD stays mission ready

DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas—Senior Airman Kyle Gneuchtel (left) and Tech. Sgt. Mark Thompson (right), 7th Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit, are pushed into a pool during a two-part training exercise March 22 at the Dyess Fitness Center here. The first part involved removing their flak vest while underwater, swimming 25 meters and rescuing each other from the water. The second part involved push-ups, putting together a pan disrupter and carrying it a quarter-mile, all while wearing an 85-pound bomb suit on the track outside of the fitness center. EOD conducts training everyday so their Airmen are prepared for challenges they may face. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Airman 1st Class Shannon Hall)
