Dyess Airman pronounced dead

A Dyess Airman was pronounced dead at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas on Jan. 1, 2019 at 6:53 p.m.

Master Sgt. Bob Parangan entered the Air Force on March 19, 1997. He arrived at Dyess in October 2018 and was assigned to the 7th Logistics Readiness Squadron as the noncommissioned officer in-charge of the material management flight.

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one of our teammates, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Master Sgt. Parangan," said Maj. Sean Bojanowski, 7th Logistics Readiness Squadron commander. "This loss is felt immensely by the 7th LRS family, and we are committed to providing support to anyone in need."

Team Dyess extends our deepest condolences and prayers to the family as we grieve the loss of a beloved member of our Air Force family.

The cause of death is currently under investigation and no additional information is available at this time.
