Outdoor Activities Golf Course The 7th Force Support Squadron's Mesquite Grove Golf Course provides an 18-hole course, one of the best maintained in West Texas. Mesquite Grove has a certified PGA professional who offers lessons to men and women, and hosts several tournaments throughout the year. The course layout presents a challenge to every golfer. Green fees are nominal for play-by-the-day patrons, slightly higher for the weekend. The course is open every day, 7:30 a.m. to dusk except Christmas and Thanksgiving. A fully stocked pro shop is equipped to handle every level of a golfers need. Items currently not in stock can be special ordered and received in a matter of days. The clubhouse has a locker room and a pro shop to meet the golfers' needs. Call 696-4384. Information, Tickets & Tours The ITT office is located in the Hangar Center at 357 Ave. B, building 7106. ITT is a full-service ticket and travel office. They offer attraction tickets and sporting event tickets, as well as, leisure travel products to include vacation packages, cruises, airline tickets, hotel reservations and car rentals. ITT hours of operation are: Monday, Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, noon to 4:30 p.m. To acquire information or to set up an appointment, please call 696-5206/5207. Outdoor Adventure The outdoor adventure center provides vacation trip opportunities. The center plans trips to areas such as the Grand Canyon and Carlsbad Caverns, as well as ski trips to resorts in New Mexico. It also provides trips for fishing adventures and classes on scuba diving. Riding Club There are horse stables and a riding club on base. The facility has 34 stalls. The riding club puts on several events throughout the year. Call 696-3471. Veterinary Clinic The Vet Clinic is staffed with a full-time vet to help you take care of your four-legged family members. Turf Field Dyess proudly displays the 7th Bomb Wing shield emblazoned on a $400,000 football and soccer playing field. For regulations governing use of the field, call 696-4306.
