What acts will be included in this year’s Dyess Big Country Air Fest?

The 2023 Dyess Big Country Air Fest will highlight a variety of military and civilian Aircraft for you and your families to enjoy!

This year’s aerial performance lineup includes performances by the F-22 Demo Team, the United States Air Force Academy Wings of Blue Parachute Team, the U.S. Army Golden Knights, Aerobatic teams, B-1 Demonstrations, C-130 cargo drop demonstrations, Fighter Jet T-33 Demonstrations, U.S. Air Force Heritage Flights, and flyovers from B-25, C-47, BT-13, and T-33s!

On the ground, you will have the chance to engage with a variety of static displays and aviation professionals. In addition to touring the classic B-1 Bomber and C-130J Hercules of America’s lift and strike base, Dyess will host T-6, U-3, C-45, UC-78, T-28, b-52S, F-16s, KC-135, C-5, KC-46 and the F-35.

Our entertainment will include food trucks, recognition of the Air Force’s accomplishments this past year, and cameos from Top Gun’s Maverick and Iceman! You won’t want to miss it!

The Dyess Big Country Air Fest’s theme for 2023 is “Celebrating the best of America’s lift and strike base!”

How do I get tickets to the Dyess Big Country Air Fest?

This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! No tickets are required for entry, but we do ask that adults bring proof of identification.

How do I get to the Dyess Big Country Air Show?

Event parking for the Dyess Big Country Airshow will be on base in set locations surrounding the Airfield. All attendees will be asked to enter through the Dyess Air Force Base Tye Gate located at the intersection of 3rd St and Military Dr. From there, Dyess personnel will marshal members to respective parking spots located on the Airfield and surrounding fields.

If you live on base, there will be a shuttle available for members departing from set locations

Due to the large amount of visitors anticipated, carpooling is recommended!

How do I sponsor a booth?

Dyess Air Force Base is pleased to offer a variety of sponsorship packages that you can choose from for those interested in being a contributing sponsor to the 2023 Big Country Air Fest. Businesses hoping to sponsor a booth at the Airshow must contact the Force Support Squadron Marketing office at 7fss.marketing@us.af.mil. The deadline for response is March 15, 2023. This package, including benefits and rates, are subject to change at any time without notice.

How do I donate to the Dyess Big Country Air Show?

Dyess AFB also welcomes donations from interested parties, contact Force Support Squadron marketing for details at 7fss.marketing@us.af.mil!

What is the kids zone?

The Kids Zone is the portion of the Dyess Big Country Air Fest where kids can enjoy bouncy houses, STEM education, and other kid fair favorites!

We do ask that children must be under the supervision of their parents for all attractions.

What type of food options will be available?

Dyess will have over 15 food trucks and vendors to include hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, and your favorite festival foods!

How do I get merchandise?

Three will be vendors from organizations across Dyess Air Force base offering mementos and souvenirs from across the installation, aviation, and military industries. Bring cash and card!

Will there be media viewing?

Media members who are interested in covering Dyess Big Country Air Fest must contact 7th Bomb Wing Public Affairs at 7BWPA@US.AF.MIL no later than Mar. 15, 2022 to gain access to the Media Day and coordinate interviews with Air Fest spokespeople. To attend the rehearsal date, you must provide full name, driver’s license number, state, and birthday to gain escorted entry.
