 Get ready for the Dyess Big Country Air Fest 2023 on April 22, 2023! The event will host several aerial acts along with an open house full of static displays, demos and information tables at America's only Lift and Strike base. Getting into the event

Event is free and open to the public!

Gates will open at 0900. General public must enter through the Tye Gate. All DoD ID card holders (Military members, dependents and retirees) will enter through the Arnold Gate. There will be 7 bus stops available in base housing for on base residents. 

Getting to the air show

For PUBLIC entry (non-DoD ID cardholders):

The general public is invited to enter the installation through the Dyess AFB Tye Gate at the intersection of 3rd St. and Military Dr. From there, parking guides will designate parking spots on and around the airfield. All attendees, both DoD ID card holders and non-card holders will process through metal detectors at entry points of Airshow Central.

For DoD ID card holders/those with base access:

- Off-base DoD ID card holders are asked to enter through Arnold Gate and park at the BX/Commissary parking lot. Two busses will be running routes from the BX/Commissary to Airshow Central. 
- On-Base DoD ID card holders are asked to meet the set locations in base housing where two busses will be running routes to Airshow Central.
- Distinguished Visitors must confirm attendance with 7BW protocol to accommodate separate transportation plans.
