Group Tours
Group tours are for school groups, scouts, etc., and should consist of at least 15 people. Group tour organizers must fill out a Base Tour Request and Entry Request and submit it to the 7th Bomb Wing Public Affairs Office at 7BWPA@dyess.af.mil, no later than 30 days before the requested tour date.
General Public Tours
General Public tours are for small groups of individuals who do not have access to the base and are offered the second Friday of each month.
Registration must be accomplished one week prior to the date of the tour, no exceptions. Absolutely no walk-ins are available. To register, fill out an Entry Request and e-mail it to 7BWPA@dyess.af.mil, no later than one week before the tour date. Registrations not received by the deadline will not be processed and can be scheduled for the following tour date with the requester's approval.
All General Public are subject to cancellation with little or no notice depending on mission requirements or weather conditions.
General Public tours consist of visiting the Dyess Museum, walking a path (1.2 miles) along all 30 static aircraft in the Air Park, and a windshield tour of the base. The tour starts at 8:30 a.m. and will last about two hours. Tour size is limited to the first 40 applicants.
Recommended attire for the tour is comfortable, light-colored clothing. Comfortable, closed-toed shoes are highly recommended even though the path is cemented. Please bring water for your consumption as there is no drinking water along the path.
A state-issued identification card, such as a driver's license, passport, etc., for visitors age 16 and older is required. All visitors must present state-issued ID upon check-in for base tour.
All visitors must report to the Dyess Museum prior to 8:30 a.m. on the date of the tour to check in. The museum is located at 800 Arnold Boulevard in Abilene on the corner of Military Drive and Arnold Boulevard, not by the main gate.
Please limit your baggage since you will be walking more than a mile. Pets and weapons (guns, knives, lighters, pepper spray, etc.) are not allowed. Cameras are welcome with some restrictions. The tour guide will notify you of the restrictions.

Fly-over Requests
Persons or organizations wishing to request a fly-over from a 7th Bomb Wing aircraft or static display for their events must visit the USAF Aerial Events website and click on the "New Requests" tab.
Follow all directions and fill out the aerial support request form then submit it to the Secretary of Air Force Public Affairs.
Requestors should know Dyess cannot provide aerial support for an event until it has been approved by SAF/PA. Also, once an event is approved by SAF/PA, that does not mean Dyess has committed to supporting the event. Due to high operations tempo and the number of aerial support requests the 7th BW receives, the base does not have the aircraft or manpower to support all requests.
Once SAF/PA has approved an event and after Dyess has been notified, a member of the public affairs staff will be in contact the requestor to notify him/her if Dyess can support his/her event.
Finally, all events Dyess agrees to support are tentative pending real-world requirements.
Dyess' Speakers Bureau
The Dyess AFB speaker's Bureau is composed of Airmen of all ranks and from all career fields who volunteer their time to speak in the community.
Most requests for speakers come from area schools and civic organizations. Our speakers Bureau can be a valuable resource for your club or organization to learn more about Dyess and the people who perform it's mission.
