On Base Gun Registration

Personnel MUST register their privately owned weapons when residing on the installation.

Housing Residents:

  • Must register their privately owned weapon(s) at the visitor controls center within 72 hours of moving into their house.
  • Must register all newly acquired personally owned weapons at the visitor control center within 72 hours of purchase. 
  • Must complete and turn in an AF FM 1314 and DD FM 2760 with commander’s or designated representative’s signature to the visitor control center.

Dorm Residents:

  • Must immediately report to the the armory (Bldg 4201) with their weapon(s) and ID card.
  • All weapons will remain in the armory during the registration process; the armorer will issue the member an AF FM 1297.
  • Must complete and turn in an AF FM 1314 and DD FM 2760 with commander’s or designated representative’s signature to armory within 72 hours of registration.

NOTE: There is no limit on the number of privately owned weapons the armory will store for each person; however, ammunition will be limited to no more than 100 rounds of rifle or handgun ammunition and 50 rounds of shotgun ammunition per weapon caliber.
